Jimmy's Famous Hot Dogs is a family owned restaurant on Guess Rd in Durham, NC. Our grandopening is November 11th, 2011 at 11am!!
Mr. Jimmy Pashales as he was affectionately known, along with his wife and five children moved to Durham from Clifton Forge, VA in 1944. They came to Durham to operate a restaurant at five points called the ABC Lunch, along with two other partners, the Liasides and the Tsames family. Mr. Jimmy and his family bought Henderson's Luncheonette in 1949, where they changed the name to the University Grill and operated it through the 1970's. That same love of family and the Durham community and family is the reason we honor him today by carrying the tradition of great food with Jimmy's Famous Hot Dogs.
